our Insurance Policy- Why wr don't take insurance
At Rising Star Optometry, we prioritize providing personalized care, which sometimes means going beyond the restrictions set by insurance companies. These insurers often impose limitations that don’t align with our commitment to thorough diagnoses and treatments, especially for services like vision therapy, which they may not cover. As a result, we have chosen not to contract with insurance providers or participate in Medicare.
How We Can Help
We will assist you in submitting for any "out-of-network" reimbursement you may be eligible for. After the first eye exam, we can provide a superbill with the payment details and ICD10 diagnostic codes to help your insurer assess reimbursement eligibility.
The superbill will also include examination, procedure, and material codes to aid in discussions with your insurance carrier about future vision therapy services. For ongoing therapy, we can provide a superbill after each visit with all necessary codes for reimbursement submission.
